Snow Globe Travelers; Samuel's Legacy by K.A. Cummins. 5 out 5 stars. This book is for the middle-school grade age. Even though I am not of that age it was extremely enjoyable.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves short books that hold your attention.

Summary:

In the heart of Vienna, twelve-year-old Sarah Ann Reisende wanders into a mysterious shop where snow globes double as portals to other worlds. After breaking the globe tethered to Earth, she discovers a cryptic note scribbled on the back of a photograph. The note links her father, who left before her third birthday, to a place called Elohi. Could this be a chance to find her father at last?

Unable to return home, Sarah follows the lead into the world of Elohi. But an army of vicious hybrids led by a genetically engineered warrior named Malvine now rules the once peaceful planet, and she becomes a target as Malvine wants to use the shop's connections to wage war.

Can Sarah uncover the truth behind her father leaving and find a way home before Malvine gains control of the shop?

My Review:

Although this book is meant for middle-grade age I think it would perfectly fit an older range of teens as-well. This book is one of my new favorites. It kept me entertained and it was just short enough to read before bed. I believe many would enjoy it seeing as it isn't a very long book, so if you have a few hours before you have to leave for work you could open this book and finish it. Snow Globe Travelers, would also be a good read for a middle-grade student who has a hard time focusing. This book holds your attention and helps you read every single line as you hope to learn even more about the story.

The plot was well written and the grammar was impeccable. I have a hard time with books and the grammar being less than I expected, but this book held up to my high-standards. For that I applaud the author and editor! If you have a child who struggles staying focused or doesn't enjoy reading I would definitely recommend this book as it would really help them with that. It also has a companion activity book that is extremely fun.

This is my second ever five star rating. The reason it received this rating is because it was extremely entertaining and enjoyable.

Pros:

Extremely detailed

Definite Page-Turner; Helps keep you focused

Had you on the edge of your seat several times, which helps move the story along

The ending was perfect!

Great character backstories, extremely helpful to understand the full story

Perfect grammar! Little to no grammar mistakes.

There are no cons!

K. A Cummins did an amazing job of creating an entertaining story. Again, I would recommend this to anyone who needs help focusing or anyone who also has a hard time understanding books. This would be a perfect book to help tutor someone as it has a companion activity book.
